What's New in Dentrix

The July 2025 releases of Dentrix include the following features:

Family File (Beta only)

  • The File and Help menus were added to the redesigned Family File.

Miscellaneous Features

  • The Payor List option was added to the Help menu in the Office Manager.
  • In the Office Journal, the Info panel now has a minimum size limitation.
  • In the Treatment Planner, the Update Current Case Status dialog box and Update Current Case Status in the Case Status History tab were modified.
  • In the Patient Chart the Smart Image panel has been renamed to Imaging.
  • The Practice Notifications window is now anchored to the Appointment Book.
  • The Terms and Conditions disclaimer is now located at the bottom of the What’s New dialog box.
  • The Info panel in the Office Journal was modified allowing you to resize it.
  • The E-mail Address text box in the Print Treatment Case dialog box has been modified to allow more characters.
  • Dentrix now performs a verification check of completed procedure codes to prevent posting codes twice.
  • Providers can now sign off on having reviewed a patient’ health information and record any changes at chair side. (Beta sites only)
  • After reviewing their health history with their provider, patients can now sign off on changes made to their health history record at chair side. (Beta sites only)

Bug Fixes

  • In the Document Center, you could not preview old documents if an invalid password was saved in Notes. (25.13)
  • New transactions entered on the first day of a 31- day month incorrectly appeared in the 31-60 aging bracket in the Aging Report. (25.13)
  • An aging record was not created when a new patient was created. As a result, transactions were not posted until after running close transactions. (25.13)
  • The “Unable to obtain Forms URL” error message incorrectly appeared when the Forms toolbar button was clicked. (25.13)
  • The Form Status icon in the Appointment Book sometimes indicated the incorrect status. (25.13)
  • In the Appointment Book, the Lab Case icon indicating that a lab case was needed was missing. (25.13)
  • When a patient’s chart number was set to <AUTO>, new patients could not be added. (25.13)
  • A Payer Portal connection warning sometimes appeared despite payers having a successful connection in the Payer Portal. (25.13)
  • Documents were incorrectly removed from the Document Center or were renamed to “Recovered Document.” (25.13)
  • Text in the Claim Setup dialog box did not display correctly on higher resolution monitors. (25.14)
  • The “Invalid state” error message incorrectly appeared when AE was entered as the state abbreviation. (25.14)
  • Running Recalculate Totals did not produce meaningful log files. (25.14)
  • Clicking the Forms toolbar button did not open Patient Forms. (25.14)
