What's New in Dentrix

New features to help your team be more productive and more profitable.

The October 2025 releases of Dentrix include the following features:

Family File

  • The “condensed” view is now the only available view.
  • In addition to the Edit icons, you can now double-click the cards to edit the contents of those cards.
  • The File menu now includes the Switch To option, which allows you to open other Dentrix modules.
  • The What’s New and Dentrix Chat buttons were added.
  • You can now double-click the Notes card in the new Family File window to update its content.

Dentrix Imaging (Limited Beta only)

  • The Simple Mode, a streamlined intraoral X-ray workflow that includes simplified navigation, an interactive tooth chart, and device-based procedure buttons, was added.
  • The Videa Impact Panel was added to the image view. The panel opens automatically when Videa credentials are available and displays the Dentrix Detect AI indications for the selected image and patient.
  • Modals were added to the Videa Impact Panel to help with adult and pediatric patient education.
  • The Dentrix Imaging window has been modified to be more intuitive and easier to use.
  • The Imaging panel and the Imaging toolbar icons were modified.

Miscellaneous Features

  • The Saved Credit Cards Report has been modified to make updates to items in the report more apparent.
  • Dentrix Forms now includes an integration with DentalPlans.com that allows your practice to offer Dental Savings Plans (DSPs) to uninsured patients during the intake process.
  • You can no longer edit a new patient’s first visit date in the Patient Information dialog box.
  • The New Patient dialog box has been modified to make it more compact and easier to complete. (25.19)
  • You can now edit a patient’s first visit date in the Patient Information dialog box. (25.19)
  • You can now use a signature device to capture a provider’s signature in Health History. (25.19)

Bug Fixes

  • In the Office Manager, insurance estimates were incorrectly reported in millions of dollars. (25.19)
  • If you added and/or edited late and/or finance charges, the charges were not placed in the correct aging bracket. (25.19)
  • Claims were being submitted even though attachments were missing leading to claim rejections and adjudication delays. (25.20)
  • When appointments were moved from the Pinboard to the schedule from more than one workstation, they no longer appeared in the Appointment Book. (25.20)
  • Users were incorrectly able to bypass password rights. (25.20)
  • The Claim Status Notes dialog box stopped responding and consequently caused the Ledger to stop responding. (25.20)
  • The values in the Status column in the Claims Manager were sometimes incorrect. (25.20)
  • The Marketing Consent check boxes in the Patient Information dialog box were not being saved. (25.20)
  • The old Claim Form window always opened from the Claims Manager regardless of feature flag state. (25.20)
  • If you ran a Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey, Dentrix modules stopped responding. (25.21)
  • Instead of being sent once a day, multiple batches of Outstanding Balance Statements were sent from the same practice on the same day. (25.21)
  • Billing statements were incorrectly sent automatically by mail instead of by text or email message. (25.21)
  • When payments were made via QuickBill, critical patient information was missing from the Online Payment Import screen. (25.21)
  • If you posted an insurance payment in the classic Claim window and then tried to switch to the new Claim window, the new Claim window failed to open, and the Ledger stopped responding. (25.21)
  • Consent forms could not be saved in the Treatment Planner. (25.21)
