What's New in Dentrix

New features to help your team be more productive and more profitable.

The December 2025 releases of Dentrix include the following features:

Family File

The redesigned Family File is available for all Beta offices to view and try out.

  • The cards in the redesigned Family File window have been rearranged to mirror the layout of the legacy Family File window.

Claims Manager

The redesigned Claims Manager is available to Beta offices to view and try out.


Insurance Claim and Preauthorization Windows

The Dental Insurance Claim and Preauthorization windows have been redesigned and are available to Beta offices to view.

  • The selected patient’s last name, first name, and middle initial now appear on the left side of the title bar.

Miscellaneous

  • The 2026 updates to the CDT codes are now installed with Dentrix.
  • You can now send forms “on-demand” to your patients directly from Dentrix.

Bug Fixes

  • In Box 39a of the ADA 2024 claim form, the date of the most recent Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) procedure now comes from Existing Other procedures in the Patient Chart. (25.24)
  • Statuses were intermittently incorrect in the Status columns of the redesigned Claims Manager and Claim Status Notes. (25.24)
  • When you edited late or finance charges, totals were incorrect. (25.24)
  • At random, the Appointment Book stopped responding on all workstations running Dentrix. (25.24)
  • Errors were not being entered into the error log. (25.24)
  • Intermittently, incorrect values appeared in the Status column in the Claims Manager. (25.25)
  • Dates in the Claims Manager were inaccurate. (25.25)
  • If you edited late or finance charges, totals were calculated incorrectly. (25.25)
  • The Appointment Book randomly stopped responding. (25.25)
  • Errors were not recorded to the error log. (25.25)
  • The legacy Medical Insurance Claim window incorrectly includes the Try the New Claim Window toggle, but the new claim window is currently for dental claims only. (25.25)
  • The Eligibilities menu continues to appear after the cursor no longer hovers over the Eligibilities icon. (25.25)
  • The estimated insurance portion was calculated incorrectly in the redesigned Claim Preauthorization window. (25.25)
  • The side panel in the Claims Manager did not default to Summary tab view. (25.25)
  • When an image was attached to a claim, the Include Attachments dialog box sometimes stopped responding. (25.25)
  • The Import option was sometimes missing from the enhanced eligibility E menu. (25.25)
  • The Preventive deductible import was not reverted correctly. (25.25)
  • Patients were incorrectly charged late fees. (25.25)
  • When late or finance charges were edited, the amount was incorrectly rounded to the nearest dollar instead of including the number of cents. (25.25)
