What's New in Dentrix

New features to help your team be more productive and more profitable.

The May 2026 releases of Dentrix include the following features:

Family File

  • A guided tour of the redesigned Family File is now available.

Dentrix Imaging

  • In Comparison mode, the size of the layout changes dynamically as you add or remove images.
  • The buttons in the Ortho Report were modified to be more visible.
  • The About Imaging dialog box was modified for the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada markets.
  • The Videa name and logo were modified to reflect Videa’s rebrand.

Claims Manager

  • The Claims Manager guided tour no longer prevents new claims data from being updated while the tour is active.
  • The phrase, “Try the New Claims Manager Get paid faster” was added to the legacy Claims Manager window to encourage practices to try the redesigned Claims Manager.
  • The phrase, “Get paid faster–submit and track claims directly in Dentrix with eClaims” and a Learn More link were added to the redesigned Claims Manager window.

Miscellaneous

  • The Smart Image viewer was modified to reflect Videa’s rebranding.
  • You can now save credit cards on file to use with Practice Pay.
  • A Note column was added to the Claim Status card in the redesigned Insurance Claim and Preauthorization windows.
  • If your practice is registered to use Dentrix Forms but no forms records exist for the practice or the selected patient has no forms records, the Forms window is blank.

Bug Fixes

  • Clicking the Claims Manager icon did not bring the already-open Claims Manager window to the front. (26.8)
  • The Claims Manager did not show the correct billed amount when the F claim format was used. (26.8)
  • In Practice Pay, saved cards were duplicated when a reconnection to the service occurred. (26.8)
  • After you set up passwords, the legacy Family File opened instead of the new Family File. (26.8)
  • Dentrix Forms would not open after being set up. (26.10)
  • In the Claims Manager, claim status was incorrectly reported as sent. (26.10)
  • The Patient Chart opened slowly based on the number of ADA procedures in the Ledger over the previous year. (26.10)
  • In the modality view in Dentrix Imaging, an image was sometimes not opened in the single-image view after you clicked the image. (26.10)
  • Volume quads for 3D volumes were not rendered correctly if a computer’s display setting for scaling was set to a value other than 100%. (26.10)
  • The Reassign button was sometimes hidden in the exam view. (26.10)
