October 2026 Releases

The October releases of Dentrix include the following features:

Family File

The guided tour was updated.
When you resize the Family File window, it retains that size when you subsequently close and then reopen the Family File window.

The redesigned Claim and Preauthorization windows have been modified to be easier to read.

When you add or change a claim status manually, creating a note is no longer mandatory.
The Claim Status Notes dialog box has been modified to be easier to read.
When you send a claim manually, the claim now moves to the Sent tab.

During an update to Dentrix, the Smart Image DEXIS connector is now always reinstalled even when the connector is already installed.
To prevent the installation of a withdrawn update, the Update Manager now automatically deletes downloaded updates that have been pulled and are no longer available.
You can now filter the Dental Insurance Benefits and Coverage window to show only the changes made after an import occurred.
You can use Cards on File in your practice to automate payment collection and get paid faster.
The NPS survey now appears every 180 days instead of every 365 days.

The What’s New dialog box incorrectly appeared every time you opened the redesigned Family File until you selected the Don’t show again checkbox. (26.26)
A generic error message incorrectly appeared randomly when you switched to or opened the Ledger. (26.26)
In the Family File, the Customize Toolbar dialog box did not open after you changed and reset the order of the toolbar icons. (26.26)
The Family File and the Appointment Book stopped responding during an insurance eligibilities import. (26.26)
An emergency contact was not created when you tried to create one for a new patient. (26.27)
The Referral Recap option was incorrectly removed from the Print menu in the Ledger. (26.27)
The bottom portion of the Claim Status Notes dialog box was not visible when it was opened from a laptop. (26.27)
An eligibility import error occurred during a manual import of eligibilities. (26.27)
The Customize Toolbar dialog box did not open after you changed and reset the order of the toolbar buttons. (26.27)

These versions of Dentrix are known as 26.26 and 26.27.
